Discover Your Inner Artist & Find Your Own Voice!

With more than 20 years of dedicated experience in youth vocal education in North America, MK Singing School has developed a comprehensive and well-rounded training system designed for the evolving voices, abilities, and artistic potential of young singers.

MKSS students study a wide range of vocal genres, including Musical Theatre (MT), Classical Voice (CL), and Commercial Music (CM). They also explore repertoire in different languages and from diverse cultural traditions, developing strong vocal technique, musical versatility, cultural awareness, expressive depth, and stylistic understanding.

Drama and acting training are integrated into vocal instruction, helping students understand character, emotion, storytelling, movement, and stage communication. This combination allows young singers to move beyond simply singing the notes and deliver performances that are more natural, expressive, convincing, and engaging.

Through this comprehensive training, many MKSS students are able to perform confidently across genres and vocal styles, adapting naturally to a wide variety of repertoire and performance settings. Many have earned multiple awards and top placements in different competition categories. Their versatility and performance training also enable them to take on leading and principal roles in musical theatre productions, bringing together strong singing, acting, characterization, and stage presence.

Over the years, MKSS students have consistently achieved outstanding results and received high praise from adjudicators and industry professionals for their well-rounded training, confident performances, stylistic versatility, musicianship, and ability to communicate authentically through music.

Celebrating Our MKSS Singers at the 2026 OMFA Provincial Finals

Congratulations to all our MK Singing School students who participated in the 2026 Ontario Music Festivals Association Provincial Finals! This year, MKSS students earned more than 56 provincial-qualifying entries through a variety of local music festivals across Ontario. Due to scheduling conflicts and other circumstances, 45 entries ultimately participated in the OMFA Provincial Finals, competing across three vocal categories: Classical Voice, Musical Theatre, and Songs from the Screen, Pop and More.

Our young singers received numerous honours, including Best in Class, first-, second- and third-place awards, honourable mentions, playoff finalist recognition, and provincial participation.

Every award is worth celebrating, but the true value of this experience goes far beyond rankings. Through preparation and performance, our students learned to communicate through music, experience the joy of singing, and share their unique personalities on stage. They challenged themselves, made meaningful progress, developed greater confidence, and gradually learned to open up and express themselves more freely. We are incredibly proud of every student—not only for what they achieved, but also for the courage, dedication, growth, and joy they demonstrated throughout this journey. May music continue to help each child discover a stronger, brighter, and more confident version of themselves!
