All Group Singing Lesson Programs Features:

​Beginner Level -Little Star Vocal Program -The Little Star Program is a foundational vocal training course designed for young students who love singing but may have little or no prior experience. Open to learners from all backgrounds, the program is thoughtfully structured to match the psychological and physical development of children, with classes organized by age group. This program provides a joyful, engaging introduction to vocal music, helping students build solid foundational skills while nurturing creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of singing.
What Students Will Learn:

Singing Repertoire Includes: North American children's classics/Musical theatre songs/ Disney and film music/English and French pop songs/ North American folk and art songs/Age-appropriate Mandarin and multilingual songs. Each term focuses on a different repertoire theme. Teachers tailor lesson plans based on the students’ progress and learning needs, ensuring every child feels supported and challenged at the right level. Through interactive learning, exploration of different musical styles, and gradual technical development, the Little Star Program inspires young singers to grow with joy, curiosity, and confidence—on stage and beyond.

Intermediate Level-Rising Star Vocal Program-The Rising Star Program is designed for students who are ready to go beyond the basics and take their vocal training to the next level. This intermediate-level program is perfect for those eager to explore the world of vocal arts through advanced technique, diverse repertoire, and performance experiences. Open to students of all cultural backgrounds, the program combines personalized instruction with structured artistic goals—building both confidence and capability on stage and in the studio.

Who Is This Program For? This program is recommended for students who:
1.Have completed at least one year of vocal study at MKSS
2.Have participated in solo performances at school events
3.Submit homework consistently and attend regularly
4.Are interested in exams, competitions, or advanced training
5.Have a basic ability to read music and play melodic lines on piano or other instruments
6.Possess basic ear training and music theory knowledge
7.Are curious, expressive, and open to learning different languages and styles

Advanced Level-Golden Star Vocal Program-This program is designed for advanced students who wish to pursue in-depth vocal arts training and embrace greater artistic challenges. Open to students of all cultural backgrounds, this program offers high-level instruction in preparation for vocal competitions, RCM examinations, and a variety of public performance opportunities. In the Fall 2025 semester, the curriculum will focus on developing solo performance repertoire suitable for advanced-level musical theatre, as well as North American and European art songs. Vocal coaches will apply professional standards to every aspect of repertoire learning—including range, tone, technical demand, stylistic accuracy, and stage performance—while tailoring guidance to each student’s abilities and goals. Instructors will provide focused guidance across multiple dimensions of the student’s development:

1. Advanced vocal technique and tone control
2. Diction and vocal language fluency
3. Breath management and phrasing
4. Musical expression and interpretation
5. Stage movement, presence, and dramatic delivery

This comprehensive training helps students elevate both their solo vocal ability and overall artistic capacity.
Note: All MKSS classes follow a set curriculum aligned with the student’s current level and abilities. Participation in competitions, RCM exams, and public performances is optional and left to the discretion of each student and their family

Who Is This Program For? This program is recommended for students who:
1. Have studied at MKSS for two or more years and built a repertoire of performance-ready songs
2. Have participated in solo or ensemble performances at MKSS or other public music events
3. Have received Gold or higher honors in local music festival vocal competitions in Ontario
4. Have begun learning to independently study and interpret new vocal works
5. Can sing with accurate pitch, rhythm, and diction, and are ready to begin character development in singing
6. Maintain good attendance and consistently complete MKSS assignments
7. Have strong stage presence and basic instrumental skills, and show interest in physicality and dramatic performance
8. Are curious, well-rounded, and possess strong overall learning ability
